An Introduction to held
A small riso-printed zine made in response to Rosalind Noctor’s HELD practice — a movement and touch practice exploring what it means to hold, and to be held.
Structured in seven sections, loosely inspired by the seven chakras, the zine moves through the body in colour. Each section pairs an image of the body with a place of contact: one side shows where the receiver is touched; the other offers a few words for the person holding.
Rather than reproducing the practice as a set of instructions, HELD gathers fragments from it — gestures, phrases and invitations. It is intended as a poetic representation of the experience: a small object to hold onto after the practice, and a way into its ideas for those who haven't experienced it.
Risograph printed in 4 colours.
Edition of 100.
